Why we built this

Generic construction estimating tools treat a fence like “linear feet times a number.” That math is wrong for any fence with a corner, a gate, or a slope. The error compounds at every step — wrong post counts, wrong concrete, wrong panels, wrong total — and the contractor either underbids and loses money, or overbids and loses the job.

FenceEstimatePro is built around a different idea: model the fence the way it’s actually built. Every run is a graph of nodes (posts) and edges (sections), every post type is auto-derived from the geometry, and every concrete hole is calculated volumetrically. The result is an estimate you can stake your margin on.

Who’s behind it

FenceEstimatePro is built by Pearl Ventures, a veteran-owned software studio that builds tools for trades and contracting businesses. We treat code like infrastructure and customer feedback like the spec.

The product is shipped, supported, and run from the United States. Customer data is hosted on Supabase and Vercel; infrastructure is SOC2-grade; we never sell customer data.

What we believe

• Margin is the metric. Revenue without margin is a busy way to go bankrupt. Software for contractors should protect margin first.
• Mobile is non-negotiable. The estimate is built where the fence will be built. Anything that requires a desktop is broken.
• Paperwork should be a side effect. A signed contract, a lien waiver, a warranty cert — these should come out of the job’s data automatically, not be retyped from scratch.
• Honest answers beat marketing. Our FAQs, calculators, and pricing pages don’t hide tradeoffs. Contractors can smell a sales pitch from a mile away.
